Who can benefit from therapy at My Social Wellbeing?
I work with individuals navigating the impact of domestic, sexual, or relational abuse, as well as those experiencing anxiety, grief, or relational challenges. Therapy is tailored to meet you where you are and support your unique journey toward healing, clarity, and self-trust.
What is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, and how does it work?
IFS is a trauma-informed, experiential approach that helps you explore and understand the different “parts” of yourself—thoughts, emotions, and beliefs that may feel in conflict. Rather than just talking about your experiences, we’ll gently connect with what’s happening inside in real time.By building a relationship with these parts and connecting with your core Self, you can foster self-compassion, heal past wounds, and find more internal clarity. Sessions move at your pace, creating a safe space to explore your inner world in a way that feels grounded and manageable.
Do I have to share everything in my first session?
Absolutely not. Therapy is a process, and you are in control of what you share and when. We move at a pace that feels safe for you, building trust and comfort over time.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or affected by past trauma — and want support to process your experiences, understand yourself better, and regain trust in yourself — therapy can help. Even if you’re unsure, a consultation is a safe way to explore whether this is a good fit.
What should I expect in a session?
Sessions are safe, confidential, and client-centered. We might talk, use guided exercises, or practice Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques to explore your inner world. Sessions are paced according to your comfort and needs, with a focus on building insight, safety, and emotional regulation.
Can I do therapy online, or do I need to come in person?
I offer Telehealth sessions across Florida, which allows you to access therapy from home. This is especially helpful if travel, schedules, or safety concerns make in-person sessions difficult.
How long does therapy take?
Therapy is unique for each person. Some clients notice changes within a few sessions, while deeper trauma work can take months or longer. The focus is on sustainable growth, not a specific timeline.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is confidential according to professional and legal standards. Exceptions include situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. Your safety is always a top priority.
What if I feel unsafe or triggered during therapy?
Feeling triggered is a normal part of processing trauma. We approach all work gently and with consent. I provide grounding and coping strategies to help you stay safe emotionally and physically during sessions.
How do I start therapy?
You can schedule a consultation through the website or contact me directly by phone or email. The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and determine if this is the right fit for you.
Do you accept insurance, and what are your cash pay fees?
Yes. I accept many insurance plans and offer private-pay options. Individual sessions range from $65–$165 (30 mins to 1-hour), and small group therapy is $45 per participant for a 1-hour session.
